Bike Lease Program

Leasing a bicycle through the Texas A&M Sustainable Transportation (ST) office will allow you to save time and money.

The ST office offers durable bikes for your transportation needs in and around the Bryan-College Station community. All registered students are able to lease bicycles on a semester long basis.


Purchasing a Lease

Purchase a semester lease through My Account using the "Purchase Permits" link. Once you have purchased your permit online simply email the Sustainable Transportation office at bikes@tamu.edu and set up an appointment to pick up your bicycle.

On the day of your appointment all you will need is an electronic or printed copy of your receipt.

Bike Lease Dates
Availability Starting two weeks before the semester begins thru two weeks after the first day of class.
Return Date The Friday after the last day of finals.

Lease Cost

Included with Lease

  • Priority Gotham – 3 speed carbon belt drivetrain
  • U-lock
  • Monthly safety/preventative maintenance checkup
  • Help any time the bike needs immediate tuning (low tires, brake adjustment, etc)

Lease Details

Each lease covers one full semester with the option to renew.

We have a limited number of bicycles each semester, so the bikes are leased on a first come, first served basis.

  • Bike Leases become available through My Account; Pick up starts two weeks before the semester begins thru two weeks after the first day of class through bikes@tamu.edu.
  • Last day to return leased bikes is the Friday after the last day of finals

Bike repairs

As stated in the Terms and Conditions of the Bicycle Lease Program, all "normal wear and tear" repairs will be taken care of by the Sustainable Transportation office. The following is a list of repairs not covered by this policy:

  • Lost or Stolen bicycle
  • Frame Destroyed
  • Wheel Replacement
  • Crank Replacement
  • Lock or lost key Replacement
