Connecting you to campus

Start of Semester Tips

The start of the semester can be hectic! We’ve gathered some useful transportation tips and reminders to ensure your return to campus is as smooth as possible.

If you’re bringing a micromobility device with an electric motor to campus, the motor cannot exceed 750 watts or 1 horsepower.
Several shared mobility options are available to get to and around campus, like bike share, rideshare and car share. These are often quicker options than driving or riding a bus.
All micromobility must be locked to a bike rack. Any devices locked to handrails, light poles, benches, trees, anything other than a bike rack, will be booted or impounded.
Get to the bus stop early. Buses will be full the first few weeks, so plan to arrive to your stop extra early to make it to class.
Sign up for an account in the Bus Routes app to receive notifications and important updates to your routes.
Use the “Plan a Trip” feature to plan your route. Ensure you know the bus stop where you’ll arrive and any necessary bus transfers to reach your final destination.
Traffic is heavy the first month of class, so give yourself plenty of time to get to campus. Check the parking garage counts to see live visitor parking availability.
Log into My Account and ensure your license plate for your vehicle is up to date. If using your permit barcode to park at events, save a screenshot of this year's barcode!
Parking in Lot 100? The sections around Reed Arena fill early in the day. Avoid the hassle of circling for a spot! Go to 100j by Olsen Field or 100m by E.B. Cushing Stadium for quicker access to a spot.
